Can people donate anonymously?

How does the charity get paid?
Firstgiving, the service provider, charges credit cards and stores funds in a trust account. Payment is sent to us monthly by electronic transfer. 

What are the service provider's fees?
The Internet provides one of the most cost-effective ways for charities to raise funds. Firstgiving was created to let any charity, regardless of size, use technology without capital investment, maintenance or additional staffing. Firstgiving receives a flat service fee of 7.35% from each online donation made through our pages; this includes a 2.35% processing fee that is charged by the credit card companies. There is also an annual subscription fee paid by the charity that covers account set-up and support; unlimited events and online fundraising pages can be set up with no extra charge.

What is your privacy policy?
Firstgiving collects user information and does not pass it on to third parties.

Is the service secure?
Firstgiving provides the highest level of e-commerce security in order to protect your credit or debit card information at every step of the donation process. In partnership with NatWest Streamline, we use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology that encrypts all of your personal information, including card details, so that it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet.
