No, Entertainment will be provided
from 8am to 2 p.m. and there will be 50 to 80 animal related
vendors on display at the Expo. There will be games, food and demos and
over 500 animals available for adoption. |

you do not own a dog or just do not want to walk, you can enjoy the
event. Register as a Virtual Walker and help raise donations. |

| Fundraiser Prizes |
Raising pledges helps animals that
have urgent medical needs and no means of financial support. The
more you raise the more valuable award you receive. |
| Contingency Plans |
The walk will be held
Rain or Shine! Wear
appropriate clothing. Under most conditions, the walk will continue.
In the event of severe weather (e.g. tornadoes or severe thunder and
lightning), the AAA staff may A) temporarily stop the walk by
holding you at rest stops or B) cancel the walk. We ask for your
cooperation with this policy; your safety is our number one concern. |
| Fun, Fun, Fun |
Your day will be filled
with pampering, live music, food and great fun for you and your dog! Enjoy
refreshments and
demonstrations. Shop at pet-friendly vendor booths. Enter our
People/Pet Costume contest, view a parade of adoptable animals,
Enter a Pet/Person Look-alike contest, and, or the Best Pet Trick
contest. Water will be provided for both you and your dog along the
course. The greatest volunteers in the
business will provide support. |
Youth Walkers
Under 18 |
We welcome people of all
ages to participate in the Walk for Animals. If you are under
18 years of age you must either be accompanied by a parent or
guardian or you must have a signed parental/guardian authorization
form that is part of your registration form packet before you can
participate. |
| Waiver |
All walkers must sign a
waiver form. This waiver may be found on your pledge sheet or pledge
envelope. |
| Where Will The Money Go |
100% of all funds
raised will go to WellPet Humane unless the funds are raised by a
participating rescue or humane organization. WellPet Humane is a
program of the Atlanta Animal Alliance that offers low-cost medical
services for animals owned by people experiencing financial
difficulty. WellPet also offers low-cost services to humane
organizations, rescues, fosters and feral cat trappers. |
